Every one i have repaired has been far out of warranty. Theres lots of quite large excavators in good ole delaware.. mostly due to all the sand and gravel pits. I also do a little for komatsu dealer in baltimore.

Eventually these pieces will fail. It starts with a small crack and quickly grows. Getting a new or used boom or stick isn't cheap so welding the crack is a good option if done right.

If you are taking the boom off you might aswell stick a used boom back onto the machine. With out pictures to see how severe the damage its hard to tell how hard it would to fix your problem.
